We offer a wide variety of winter seasonal positions for enthusiastic people willing to work weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.

All of our winter employees are entitled to a free season pass for skiing and riding. Also as an added perk, we offer season passes to your spouse and dependents at a nominal fee. Other seasonal employee benefits include food and retail shop discounts.
  HOW TO APPLY  
Applications for seasonal winter employment are accepted beginning in September. You can apply by printing our application and coming to the Human Resources Office in person at the Summit Lodge at Jack Frost Mountain.

Human Resources Hours:
Spring, Summer, and Fall, Monday -Thursday from 9am until 4pm
Winter, 7 days a week from 9am until 4pm.

Seasonal Winter Employment
Due to the nature of our business, Jack Frost Mountain and Big Boulder Ski Area are open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which will include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Jack Frost Mountain is open during the day - with a slope closing time of 4:00 PM. Big Boulder is a day and night operation, with the slopes closing at 10:00 PM. There are also a limited number of positions available after closing times, such as Snowmaking and Grooming.

  OUTDOOR OPPORTUNITIES
Chairlift Operator/Attendant, Operate the chairlifts. Works top or bottom lift controls, assist guests loading or unloading chairlifts. May also check tickets. Terrain Park Crew , Perform routine maintenance on terrain features while ensuring a fun and safe environment for guests. Must be 18 years old and possess knowledge of terrain park etiquette. prior park experience helpful.
Snowmaker, Operate snowmaking equipment and reposition snow guns on the mountain. Snow Groomer,
Grooms trails and operates grooming machinery. Heavy equipment experience preferred along with knowledge of skiing/riding terrain. Limited availability.
Snow Tubing Stager, Monitor and direct guests at top and bottom of each snow tubing chute. Snowtubing Lift Operator, Assist guests loading tow lifts. May also check tickets.
Snowsport Learning Center,
Positions vary from instructing children or adults in all levels of skiing and riding. Proper teaching skills may be necessary and certain criteria or training certificates may be required.
Parking Attendants & Greeters, Direct automobiles & manage the flow of traffic. Must have the ability to answer questions and know special events, promotions, and general resort information.
Ski Patrol, Includes rescue skier & ski patrol duties. Must have current advanced first aid card, CPR certification, Outdoor Emergency Care Certification, and be able to ski all terrain in all weather conditions.  
  INDOOR OPPORTUNITIES  
Ticket Sellers, Must possess the ability to operate a computerized ticketing system. Strong cash handling skills necessary. Must also have full knowledge of products, services, special events, and general resort info. Guest Services, Must be able to assist customers with questions, concerns, and problem solving. Telephone guest relations & switchboard responsibilities. Operate season pass computer system and issue season passes. May also be required to operate ticketing system and handle cash.
Group Sales Clerks, Front line position with group leaders processing their orders. Strong cash handling and organizational skills necessary. Must be able to assist group customers with questions, concerns, and problem solving. Limited availability. Children's Center, Attend to children enrolled in SnowMonsters programs. Knowledge of ski instruction may be necessary for some positions.
Food & Beverage
Cafeteria Cashiers, Operate cash registers at cafeterias. Strong cash handling skills required. Food Service Workers, Work in food service areas serving food and restocking areas.
Food Prep, Prepare food for various food outlets.  
Lodge Maintenance
Bus People, Clear and clean tables in lodges, keep lodges in good appearance. Janitorial, Janitorial services throughout the operation, which includes cleanliness of all areas including restrooms.
Retail & Rental Operations
Retail Sales, Assist guests making purchases in retail shops. Knowledge of product lines helpful. Operate cash registers. Strong cash handling skills required. Boot/Pole Handler, Assist guests in proper sizing of rental boot & pole equipment.
Ski/Snowboard Tech, Adjust & fit rental equipment. Equipment certification will be required. Repair Shop Tech, Repair, sharpen, & wax skis or snowboards. Prior technical experience preferred.
